Welcome to the Young researchers school on analyzing extreme events distributions Website!

The workshop will take place from 5th of September 2010 to 8th of September 2010

The meeting starts on Sunday 5th in the evening with a dinner and ends on Wednesday 8th at 16h. The dinner on Sunday is a warm up event, no lectures will be given on Sunday.

There will be on Sunday (05.09.10) an optional little hiking excursion trough the beautiful landscape. It will start at 17h (meeting point at the reception, duration approx. 2h)

The aim of the school is to provide a platform for young researchers who work or would like to work on the statistical modeling of extreme events. Short courses will be given by junior researchers.

One of the main objectives of this school is to create an international network for young researchers and to exchange innovative ideas coming from various fields dealing with extreme events (geosciences, insurances, impact studies, etc).
