Residència d'Investigadors

Hotel Campus

Address: Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona campus. Bellaterra.

Price*:

Double room (double occupancy): 84 euros

Double room (single occupancy): 68,5 euros

Buffet type breakfast included in the price. Taxes not included (7 %).

Reservations: Fill up the Form and send it, by e-mail to the following address: reservas.tryp.campus@somelia.com. Mention that it is for the Seminaire MAT. The reservations should be made before August 26.

Vila Universitària(apartments)

Address: Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona campus. Bellaterra.

Price*:

37,06 euros per  night per apartment. Taxes not included in the price (7%).

Reservation: send an e-mail message with your reservation mentioning that it is for the Seminaire MAT, to the following address: estiu@vilauniversitaria.com . The reservations should be made before September 20.

Note: There are 5 double occupancy apartments available.

Step 1: Airport - Barcelona.

Train: Follow the RENFE signs to the airport station and take the train to Plaça Catalunya. Trains depart every 30 minutes from 6:13am to 10:43pm and take 20 minutes. Price: 2,15 euros.
Bus: Buses leave from outside the terminal buildings for Plaça Catalunya, departing every 15 minutes between 6am and 12pm and taking 20-30 minutes. Price: 3,30 euros.
Taxi: One can always take a taxi, although it is usually a good idea to ask for a receipt.


From the airport to Pl. Catalunya should take around 20-30 minutes and cost 15-18 euros, depending on traffic.
From the airport to the CRM should take 35-45 minutes and cost 25-30 euros.

From Pl. Catalunya, there are two train services to the university, run by Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC) or RENFE , although the latter only runs on days when the university is open (so not on weekends, holidays or during vacations). Note that they leave from entirely separate stations under Pl. Catalunya and so if you arrive from the airport by the RENFE train and wish to go on to the university by the FGC then you will need to leave the station, cross the square towards La Rambla, then look for the signs. (If you wish to take a RENFE train to the UAB then you will not even need to change platforms.)

FGC: Take a S2 Sabadell or S55 U. Autònoma train to the Universitat Autònoma station. Trains depart approximately every 12 minutes between 5:15am and 11:48pm (every 20 minutes on weekends and holidays) and take 33 minutes. Price: 1,50 euros, although one can buy a 10 journey `T10, 2 zones’ ticket for 11,30 euros if you plan to make several trips to Barcelona. (If  you are heading for the Hotel Campus, or Vila Universitària then leave the train at the Bellaterra station, and take the short road through the woods on your right.)

 

RENFE: On days when the university is open (i.e. not weekends, holidays or vacations), take a train from Plaça Catalunya to Cerdanyola UAB, which leaves every 30 minutes from 7:34am to 8:40pm. Duration 25-30 minutes, price 1,10 euros. From the Cerdanyola UAB station one can take a free university bus (marked UAB) to most points on the campus or walk to the CRM (less than a kilometre away). Coming by train:

If you arrive at Barcelona by train then you will  arrive at  Sants station. From Sants you can take a local train or a metro to Plaça Catalunya, and continue as above.

Coming by car:

The UAB Campus is located near the A7 (E15) motorway:

Comming from the North, A7 (E15) motorway direction Tarragona, after Km 147 switch to E9 (also B30) at the point signposted Universitat Autònoma, but then stay on the B30, ignoring the next 3 exits to Sabadell etc. Finally take the exit marked Universitat Autònoma of Barcelona.

Comming from the South, A7 (E15) direction Girona, after Km 152, just passed "Àrea del Vallès", switch to the C58 (Barcelona, Sabadell, Manresa). After less than 1 Km take the exit marked Universitat Autònoma of Barcelona. Turning left over the motorway will take you to Access 1 of the map.
