How to get to Montpellier

By plane

Montpellier Méditerranée airport is a small international airport with direct connections from/to the main french cities and some european ones (Amsterdam, Frankfurt, London, Munich, Rome, Rotterdam and some others). There are several daily connections with Paris airports which make the city easily reachable worlwide.

From the airport take the bus shuttle to the place de l'Europe (endpoint station) where you can take the tramway (line L1) to the city center and the university.

By train

Montpellier train station (called Montpellier St Roch Station) is located in the city center. There are high speed trains almost every hour between Paris and Montpellier (the journey last about 3h30) and frequent trains from the main french cities (not all of them being high speed trains).

How to get to the University

To get to the University from the city center, take the tramway line L1 heading to Mosson and get off at the Université des sciences et des lettres station. Then walk to the crossroad and turn right on Avenue Fliche. You should see in front of you a large and easily recognizable red sculpture some 200m away. The main entrance of the campus is located a few steps after the sculpture, on the right.

Be carefull, there are two tramway lines heading to Mosson (the L1 and L3), but only the L1 goes to the University.
